ISAN is setting the pace!
31.01.2008

More interested parties have joined the global undertaking that is ISAN. In the most recent month of our extended promotional period, many of the largest Polish audiovisual producers have signed up to register ISANs, among them ATM Grupa SA , Perspektywa, Studio A, and Zebra.

We can happily report that SFP - ZAPA, as a registration agency, is registering more ISANs nearly every day, and an ever-increasing number of parties are expressing their interest in joining ISAN-PL.

We would like to remind everyone that our extended promotional period, allowing parties to sign up as registrants at no cost, lasts until the end of March. This gives the ability to register ISANs with SFP-ZAPA as an intermediary for audiovisual productions. After the end of this promotional period registrant signup costs will be priced according to the current pricing guide.

ISAN is experiencing ever greater popularity across the world, as the only numbering system that allows for error-free identification of audiovisual works. It has become required in the US for all works published on Blu-ray discs. In the future all films published on Blu-ray must display an ISAN, films meaning not only cinema productions, but also advertising and promotional clips.

We invite everyone to register at SFP-ZAPA and include their works in the ISAN system.

Registrant Numbers Are Rising
29.10.2007

Interest in ISAN is rising. Nearly every day new producers, distributors and other companies involved in audiovisual works sign up to be registrants and gain the ability to apply for ISAN numbers. By the end of October, film producers that have joined ISAN PL as registrants include ATM Grupa S.A., S.F. Kronika and S.F. Perspektywa. One of Poland’s leading film distributors, VISION Film, has also become an ISAN registrant. The dynamic sector of production of programs and commercials for television and cinema is represented in ISAN by SINGING DORSZ.

As a reminder, signing up to be a registrant, and gaining the previously mentioned rights, can be done at no cost until the end of this year.

Dozens of companies, with producers’ rights to thousands of works, have already established their support for ISAN in Poland. Don’t be left behind! Join the audiovisual revolution.

32nd Polish Film Festival in Gdynia
24.09.2007

The 32nd Polish Film Festival in Gdynia was an excellent opportunity to promote ISAN. Gdynia is the largest annual event in Polish film. This year, as in years past, it drew large crowds of cinephiles, as well as many film authors, producers, and others involved in cinema. This guaranteed that our message about ISAN reached an audience composed of those most interested in ISAN. The presence of print, radio and television reporters was also helpful in increasing the already large interest in ISAN.

The ISAN-related segment of the Association of Polish Filmmakers Forum was greeted with great interest and an almost 100% attendance of the invited guests.

The forum was led by Jacek Bromski, president of the Association of Polish Filmmakers (SFP), and guests included: Agnieszka Odorowicz – general director of the Polish Film Institute (PISF), Janusz Kijowski – vice-president of SFP, Janusz Chodnikiewicz – vice-president of SFP, Andrzej Urbański – president of TVP S.A., as well as Maciej Strzembosz – president of the Polish Audiovisual Producers Chamber (KIPA).

A presentation covering ISAN was given by Jerzy Tymiński – Deputy General Manager of SFP-ZAPA.

Promotion of ISAN was supported by a variety of advertising materials, which proved to be very popular. Informational folders, brochures, promotional lanyards, advertisements placed prominently in the Film Festival catalog and magazine (first or last pages) as well as CDs containing a wealth of information about ISAN created a united whole, giving our activities a very professional character.

A real highlight proved to be our promotional video, shown in the Musical Theater in Gdynia before almost every film shown in the film competition (the Musical Theater contains the theaters that are most visited by people connected with Polish film). It created great interest due to its dynamic and modern form. This gives us a great foundation for optimism in our further endeavours.
